IP ratings
The IP rating is defined by two numbers:
* 1 specifies the degree of protection against solid objects and dust
* 2 nd degree of protection is against liquids
1st number - solids | 2nd number - liquids | |
0 | No protection | No protection |
1 | Protection against the solid objects bigger than 50 mm | Protection against vertically falling water drops on a device in the normal position |
2 | Protection against the solid objects bigger than 12 mm | Protection against water drops with a maximum inclination of 15 ° relative to the normal position, to one side |
3 | Protection against the solid objects bigger than 2.5 mm | Protection against rain water if the latter is not an angle of more than 60 ° with the vertical plan |
4 | Protection against the solid objects bigger than 1 mm | Protection against splashes, splashing water |
5 | Protection against dust deposits | Protection against water projected from a nozzle |
6 | Protection against ingress of dust (waterproof) | Protection against water packets, waves, powerful jets |
7 |
Protection against temporary immersion |
|
